“During the month of August 2010 international stock markets continued their volatile sideways movement because of worries concerning the global economy. Weaker than expected macroeconomic data from Asia and the US fuelled investors’ biggest fear: a double-dip recession. Germany on the other side surprised with a healthy growth in GDP for the second quarter of 2010 (2.2 per cent QoQ). Our portfolio, which is allocated according to C-Quadrat Best Fonds Strategy, reacted to this market environment by increasing the level of diversification. The asset allocation was enlarged through investments in agriculture and gold.”
