Distributors swap stories from inside the business
Jorg Brock, Commerzbank’s head of private client product development, will share the experiences of German distributors with his European peers at PWM’s Open Architecture Forum, to be held in London on October 8. Allfunds Bank, Spain’s most important fund selector, will dispatch its managing director, Juan Alcaraz, to address this first pan-European distributors’ summit. UBS director John Gatehouse will inform distributors on how to generate revenue from open architecture. Banks including Coutts, JP Morgan, Merrill Lynch, BNP Paribas, Dexia and SG Hambros will also send speakers. The one-day forum, followed by an interactive workshop on October 9, is sponsored by fund managers Fidelity and Barclays Global Investors. Invesco to supply private clients of DaimlerChrysler Germany’s DaimlerChrysler Bank has chosen Invesco as a private label product provider to its customers. Shares in the bank’s newly created product, which aims to protect 99 per cent of invested capital, can be purchased until the end of September. At least 80 per cent of assets are invested in low-risk fixed income securities and cash, with the remainder in equities. The product has raised E80m to date.
