Spain’s leading fund industry practitioners will gather in Madrid for the second PWM European Fund Series conference, sponsored by BNP Paribas Asset Management, on 18 October.

New regulations, expected to be passed this month, will have a major impact on the future shape of the Spanish market. This afternoon event will analyse the changes and nature of new opportunities for local and international players.

Inés Serrano, CEO Santander Asset Manegement, Eugenio Yurrita, CEO BBVA Gestión, and Juan Alcaraz, CEO Allfunds Bank will discuss challenges for manufacturers and distributors under the new framework.

Alternative assets, and in particular funds of hedge funds, will be the focus of a second panel, with Patrick Fauchier, senior partner at Fauchier Partners, and Eusebio Díaz, president of AIMA in Spain among others.

Javier Nuñez, CEO of BNP Paribas Gestión de Inversiones, will introduce the conference, which follows the success of the first PWM European Fund Series event held in Milan in May, attended by 140 delegates.
